August is a 2-year-old Dachshund in Hutchinson , KS, who needs $2,000 for Pancreatitis and Stomach Ulcers.

August came into our lives when he was brought into the emergency vet hospital where I work for a serious brain injury from being stepped on (he was such I tiny puppy.) I brought him home as a foster, and it quickly became a foster fail.

August is the friendliest little pup. He loves to play with the other animals in the house. But his closest bonds are with my 8 year old grandson and my 5 year old granddaughter. He’s so happy when they’re here, and he cries at the door for a long time when they leave. He became a foster fail for a reason. He’s so happy and full of life and personality.

August is a dancer. He likes to get your attention and love by approaching you on his hind legs and doing a little two-legged waggle dance. All with a huge smile on his face.

It first started out that he chewed up a Christmas stocking and we found chewed up paper towels. August wouldn’t stop regurgitating. X-rays and bloodwork came back normal. We ran a cpl it was abnormal. Pancreatitis. Endoscopy showed ulcers and irritation in his throat and stomach. He is being hospitalized in the hopes we can get him to feel better.

This year I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, had unexpected brain surgery, had radiation therapy done on my brain, and spent many months unable to work. My family has been through so much this year, and it hurts my heart to see our sweet August sick like this.
