Ava is a 10-year-old Chihuahua in Belmont, NC, who needs $2,000 for FHO.

We got Ava from a lady that said her baby was allergic. Ava was 1.5 pounds when we got her. She is now a feisty, 10 year old chihuahua. Ava makes our family whole! She brings joy to everyone she meets. Ava is a people lover! She is not snappy at people.

Ava is #1 in our home! She is so sweet and loves everyone! Ava just wants to sit around and cuddle. If you have a blanket, she wants to share it with you! I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, Ava really helps me deal with that. She brings so much joy to our lives!

Ava is a little puppy and an old lady rolled into one. She is 10, but at times, acts like she 75! She always lets me know it’s supper time. She looks at you with those big, brown eyes and you just give in. Ava does a little twirl when we put her food bowl down. She always acts like to she never gets any attention! She is a goober!

Ava got out of our fence on Monday. Instead of coming to the front door like she usually does, she took an adventure down the road. I decided to drive around and look for her. I made a few stops and yelled for her. I made a right hand turn onto a side street and was yelling her name out of the drivers side window. She came from my left hand side and got hit by my tire! I AM DEVASTATED!

I recently lost my job. My husband and I are raising our niece, who is 4. Between the price of gas, groceries, and other bills, we are barely making it! I do start a new job tomorrow! I’m just asking for some help with Ava’s vet bill. She needs a $4,500 surgery.
