About this campaign
I never saw myself getting a pet what with all the financial responsibilities but I couldn't turn down this grey runt of a kitten two years ago. She's been my one companion in our apartment. I named her Ava after one of my favorite characters from The Expanse. Her full name is quite the mouthful.
Ava unfortunately took it upon herself to swallow not only thread but the sewing needle attached. The cost of surgery is astronomical so instead we're trying to get her to pass the needle naturally or get it close enough to pull out. Fortunately there has been no internal rupture as of yet. She's being treated at the Veterinary Medical Center of Central New York in Syracuse, NY.
She's always been a bit odd for a cat. She rarely meows or makes any noise. She's still young so often gets the zoomies. She gets anxious being held but still loves sitting in a lap. Her favorite toys are these cheap plastic springs for cats. She even plays fetch with them, bringing them to my bed in the middle of the night for me to throw.
Too many bills that falling behind in, no money saved up. I know times are tough for everyone these days. The vet bill keeps racking up and I can't stomach the thought of having to euthanize my cat simply because I can't pay a vet bill.
