For months, Avia has been living with painful swelling and infection on the side of her face. This beautiful two-year-old Dalmatian has been battling what was initially believed to be a simple infection. Despite multiple rounds of antibiotics and medicated treatments, the painful swelling kept returning. After months of searching for answers, a veterinary specialist finally discovered the true cause: one or more cracked teeth causing a severe tooth root abscess that has spread infection through her cheek.

Now, Avia urgently needs specialized dental surgery to remove the damaged teeth before the infection causes even more pain and complications. The cost of her surgery, including dental X-rays and any necessary extractions, is estimated to be between $1,325 and $1,623. Thanks to a generous $400 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, part of her care is already covered, but her mom still needs to raise $974 to ensure Avia can finally receive the treatment she desperately needs.

Avia's veterinarian is optimistic that once the infected teeth are removed, she is expected to make a full recovery. Avia's journey hasn't always been easy. Although she still struggles with anxiety, she has formed an incredible bond with her mom, who has become her safe place and biggest source of comfort.
