Avocado is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Westerville , OH, who needs $6,000 for Catheterization; Perineal Urethrostomy.

I met Avocado when he was just three days old and my heart knew the moment I saw him that he was meant to be in my life. I had planned to name him Mittens(for obvious reasons- look at those socks!) but realized that was too basic for my boy. The first thought of the most ridiculous name I could think of- Avocado- felt so right when I said it out loud. Typical 20-something girl and her best friend.

In March, Avocado suffered a urinary block, requiring a several days vet stay. Despite urinary support diet and daily medications, he suffered another block 4 weeks later. Since Avi blocked so quickly after initial treatment, he requires Perineal Urethrostomy to widen his urethra. Both incidences, Avi was diagnosed by local emergency vets and has received his care with Cryan Vet Hospital.

Avocado is my best friend. He is so talkative and acts as my shadow at home. We play fetch every day and he has been trained to do tricks! He can sit, laydown, stand, spin, shake- all on command (of course only for treats). He waits for me in the window and greets me at the door whenever I come home. At bedtime, he snuggles under the covers and shares my pillow. He is my soul cat.

Avi is my whole world, and I can't imagine life without him. We are approaching $10,000 in vet bills the last month. This is extremely financially taxing. Avocado and I have exhausted all of our resources to the point I've had to consider withdrawing care. Please help us.
