Axel is a Labrador Retriever puppy in Fresno, TX, who needs $1,400 for FHO Femoral Head Ostectomy.

Axel has been part of our family since he was about 3 months. He was purchased from a breeder registered through CKC. Axel is our first family pet/companion. He was born Jan 18th 2020. We purchased him around April of this year 2020. He is 8 month old puppy. We named him AXEL based off a movie my children loved. My oldest son chose his name because he has the same heart as AXEL in the movie.

Axel is a sweetheart and he is so smart and craves to enjoy life to his fullest potential. He loves to explore his surroundings and enjoys nature. We often would take him to the dog parks and he would befriend anyone he sees animals or humans. He is very charming and loving. He loves water, playing fetch and retrieving things.

I am seeking help. I am working part time and can't afford his medical costs for surgery. We've had other finance struggles but we get through managing slowly. However for AXEL condition we need help for him as soon as possible. It is getting difficult for him and to us.

Axel has recently been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. We are currently doing conservative methods for the moment He is in need of surgery for long term as soon as possible as he is an immense of pain every day even while on several pain medications. We are currently working close with his VET to see how we can go through with the surgery. His doctor is Dr.Kiedra Carmen at Beechnut Hospital.

Axel is very smart and shocks you and what he can understand. He is able to scrutinize and sync to your thoughts and decisions. He is able to pick up on your energy and vibes based off a face or a comment. He does his puppy eyes so well he lures you into his sweetness. He will put his head to rest on your legs or give you his paw to gain your love and love him back. He is an emotional healer.
