About this campaign
Babs was born 6 years ago, unfortunately her mother died shortly after birth so she and her siblings were hand raised by myself and my uncle. After days of sleepless nights and bottle feeds, I was finally able to take my little miracle home. She is my ESA (emotional support animal) due my mental health issues. We currently live in a first ground flat with my husband who is disabled and our cat.
As I said already, she’s an ESA so she’s fundamental for my health and she keeps me more stable than anything else does in this world. She’s very cuddly with both myself and my husband who has physical disabilities. We couldn’t i,aging life without her. She’s always on the bed with us or on the sofa. She loves going out in the car for rides.
Unfortunately, my husband is unwell and has been in hospital and has complications to due with his brain, which could possibly now be long term. I desperately need help to save my dog and in its own way, save me from losing the one animal that keeps me sane.
Sadly, the last few weeks Babs hasn’t been eating great, she’s usually really into her food so this was unusual. Then we noticed she was having a longer “heat” than normal but the blood was more brown than red. Unfortunately, after a trip to the vets today, it was found that she has a nasty uterine infection. Her uterus is 3x the size that it should be. She needs surgery ASAP.
Babs is an ESA, she helps me throughout every day of my life. She’s a happy dog. She’s playful. She’s cuddly. When I’m having a bad day, she’s always by my side supporting me I’m any way she can. She often gets under the covers with me to keep me company or rests her head on my shoulder to sleep. She’s amazing and she keeps me going everyday.
