About this campaign
Baby Cat came to me at a time I would call soon enough when I needed him most. A family friend owns a towing company and in November of 2020, I randomly got the urge to go there and look inside a car that has been sitting there for years. I’ll never know why I randomly decided to do this - but I am grateful that I did. Because in the back seat, in 30-40 degree temperatures was 1 single kitten.
He literally jumped to me, young enough to where he couldn’t fully walk. I bottle fed him and him and I have been inseparable ever since. After he came into my life, a lot of bad things have happened and he’s gotten me through them. He has made me smile with his ornery ways, and has provided me with such comfort. I went through a horrible breakup from a broken engagement of a toxic relationship.
Then my uncle passed away in May, my dog passed away in June of mammary cancer and my other cat (his best friend) passed away this month. As well as being in a car accident, family health problems, vehicle problems and pretty much anything that could go bad, has gone bad. I have lost enough this year that I am terrified of losing my now only cat.
He was diagnosed with FIC in July and it’s a severe case. He has had 4- 5 blockages since, I’ve lost the exact count. He is on hospitalization #2 and multiple out patient visits. I am unemployed and I have maxed out ($3800) in Care Credit bills and now he’s needing a surgery I cannot afford. The surgery will greatly reduce the risk of another blockage happening again. I am terrified that he will re-block again without me being able to afford it. I need the surgery done ASAP, to assure he can resume his quality of life. I never ask for anything but I am lost at what to do.
