Babygirl (a.k.a. Lamb Chop) is 13 years old. I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. Her former owner, struggled with Alzheimer’s & could no longer properly care for her. She mostly ran the streets & survived on what scraps she found. Now Babygirl is her my constant shadow! She loves car rides & walks, but due to age, prefers riding in her stroller, affectionately known as the LAMBorghini.

About a year ago, Babygirl began having serious digestive issues. What started as a ravenous appetite quickly turned into rapid weight loss—she lost nearly half her body weight, developed bloody diarrhea, and could barely stand. Her vet diagnosed her just in time with pancreatic enzyme deficiency. With medication, she improved immediately! I believe we have a few good years ahead of us to enjoy!

Babygirl has been my constant shadow for 13 years, close beside me through life’s highs and lows. She stayed close through my cancer and recovery, and gently comforted me after losing my father. Her quiet loyalty and unconditional love have been my steady light through it all.
I used to think I rescued her, but anyone who loves a dog knows, we are truly the ones who have been rescued.

I live on Social Security retirement while raising my granddaughter, and my health issues make it difficult to work. That’s makes it especially hard to afford the life-saving medication Babygirl needs for her pancreatic disease. I'm trying very hard to provide for her needs.
