Bagel is a 2.5 year old Mix-Breed in Wilmington, NC, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy (PU Surgery).

We adopted Bagel in November 2022 from a local shelter as a two month old kitten. Since Day 1, he has been the sweetest boy. He has two other siblings, Muffin and Toast (yes, we have an at home bakery lol). They are both younger than Bagel and look to him for everything. They have been completely lost and confused without him home. They miss their brother.

Bagel is currently hospitalized at Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral for his second urinary obstruction since February 15th, 2025. He is suffering obstructions, along with a prolapsed penis. In order to leave the hospital, prevent further obstructions and live a pain free life, he is in need of Perineal Urethrostomy.

Our story actually begins with Bagel, our first baby together and he’s changed our lives. Bagel is the most gentle, loving, kind cat most people will ever meet.He loves cuddling every night, whether it be us or his kitty siblings.He shows nothing but love, even when he’s in pain. Bagel has made many non cat lovers into BIG cat lovers. He means everything to our family.

Urinary obstructions are sudden, and unexpected. There was no way for us to know that Bagel would need almost $8000 in medical bills (after two obstructions and surgery) to continue living a healthy, pain free life. We have exhausted all savings that we have.
