On April 23rd 2023, there was a knock on my door. It was the maintenance man who said, "My kids found a couple of babies, and I didn't know where else to bring them..." *sigh* I told him to bring them to me, and he went out to his truck and got two VERY young kittens - one black and one tabby. They were only 2.5 weeks old! I bottle fed them every few hours, and got them started on wet food.

Bagheera is a sweet boy who loves to pick on his brother, Merlin who is a screamer. Then they snuggle together for a nap! He enjoys attacking our feet as we walk by, and he'll hang on to our legs as we try to get away.

Bagheera is a long, tall boy with a tail as long as his body! He's bouncy and mischievous just like Tigger, but he also loves to snuggle when he's tired. He has brought SO much joy to our house since he was brought to us, and we can't imagine life without him.

Bagheera has an eye infection that has gotten worse. At first, I thought it was just a scratch on his eye that most kittens get while playing with each other. However, when his brother had to go to the vet for a sinus and eye infection, the vet said to use the eye drops on Bagheera too. That didn't go too well - his eye swelled as if it were coming out of the socket!

I am currently unemployed (and looking for a job). I had my left knee replaced in April, but fell a couple of times shortly after the surgery. This caused my recovery to take a LOT longer than expected. Having kittens has brightened life significantly during recovery!
