About this campaign
Bailey came to us about 4 months ago when she was 8weeks old. I had to put my dog of 12 down in June 2020, I was heartbroken. Shortly after we decided to bring a puppy into our lives , so along came Buck. We still felt like something was missing, and that is when we found Bailey. Buck and Bailey bonded instantly.
Bailey was shy and timid at first, but over the last 3 months She has really sprouted and is growing into confident, loving companion. She loved playing with her big brother Buck and snuggling with me in the mornings. Since her limping started, she has been very limited on the things she can do. She is unable to play with her brother Buck.
I am a Massage therapist and have been out of work due to COVID. I try to work when I can but as soon as I can start taking clients again, the state goes back on lock down.
About a month ago I noticed her limping. We brought her to our vet, (Blue Ravine Veterinary hospital) We thought it make be growing pains. After about a week and no improvement , we went back in for X-rays and sent them to a radiologist. This is where we discovered she had Osteochondritis Dissecans. I scheduled a visit with an orthopedic specialist and have determined she needs surgery
She is a happiest girl I know. She loves to jump around like a bunny rabbit. She was shy and timid to new experiences, so I came up with a song to sing to her so she knows it’s ok. When I sing it she jumps around and dances We should have named her tigger. Haha. She really is a special girl. When I am having a bad day, she knows and will sit with me. Comforting me and making sure I am doing ok.
