About this campaign
Bailey came into my life as a gift from a family member. It had been 3 years since my dog of 16 years had passed away, so it was due time for me to have another fur baby. My grandfather always had hunting dogs so it was nice to keep our family tradition. I’m currently in a basement apartment with a family I have know for over 30 years. They have 2 acres where bailey gets to roam around.
Bailey was recently seen by our vet after experiencing some stomach issues. Turns out after 2 1/2 days in the hospital, I was informed that she has a mass on her spleen. Through exploratory surgery they will remove and discover if cancerous and other organs infected. I have already paid $1200 for the hospital stay, fluids to hydrate her and X-rays that informed us of the need. Surgery cost $5000.
Bailey is a sweet and loyal. Although she is my dog she loves her people in this household. She gives hugs to her people, just get down to her level and she snuggles right into your neck and just lingers. She doesn’t like thunder or fireworks so she will hide under beds and let you hold her paw until it stops.
I work as a para educator at a high school plus I work a part time job staging and organizing at a local retail shop. I don’t make that much for living in Montgomery County Maryland. I was able to pay this much because I got a small tax refund back.
