Bailey is a 5 year old Beagle in Newington, CT, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery.

Hello, our beloved Bailey the Beagle entered our lives roughly 5 1/2 yrs ago on a Christmas morning when he popped out of a box delivered by Santa to surprise our 2 boys! He's the BEST cuddler ever, loves to be around people & other dogs & is a clever, well-behaved boy. He's become such a huge part of our family & we'd be lost without him!

Several months ago Bailey started to limp with one of his back hind legs so we kept our eye on it. The limp would go away after a few days but then it'd come back after some time & each time it'd last a little longer than before. So after some months of talking it over with our vet & help treating him with some IBP meds, we finally brought him in for some x-ray/lab work to determine what it was.

Turns out he has a complete torn cruciate ligament injury in his knee... which basically is a torn ACL just like humans can suffer from. So since then we've put him on an even more stricter diet with some added joint nutritional help & get him into the pool for daily swimming exercise to help keep his legs moving swiftly because we can no longer take him for his favorite walks anymore.

Unfortunately, this hasn't helped enough to restabalize his torn knee & now he's having problems with the other leg so currently he's unable to even walk on his own at all which possibly means he'll now need not 1 but 2 knee surgeries to repair for his stability of life!
