Balto is a 12 year old Australian Cattle Dog in Garden City, ID, who needs $2,000 for Anal Sacculectomy and 2 CT Scans.

I never expected to have Balto in my life. A friend called me one day after finding out about a litter or cattle dog puppies on a farm in Rhode Island that were going to be killed because the owners were unable to sell them. We immediately rescued the last three puppies, and that is how I ended up with a new best friend. We lived in Massachusetts, California and now Idaho.

Went in for routine dental work, as an added routine checked the vets checked his anal glands and found a cancerous tumor—the anal glad needs full removal. We also need CT scans of his abdomen and nose in search of other tumors that might be causing higher liver enzyme counts (10x normal).

Balto is a BIG people person, always capturing the hearts and smiles of everyone with his goofy personality. Balto always has a smile on his face and is excited to meet new friends. He's incredibly special and has helped me through some tough times of depression. I couldn't imagine life without him.

I am recently single, and this is a HUGE financial surprise. My bills have doubled, and its heartbreaking to have to consider whether I should treat Balto, do it the cheap way or not at all.
