Bamboo is a 10 year old Shih Tzu in Chicago, IL, who needs $2,000 for Soft Tissue Removal.

Bamboo is a super sweet dog. She was rescued after her initial parents abandoned her in a busy warehouse district where she roamed for a month before the plant manager was able to catch her. Ever since we took her in, she has given us so much happiness and love. She loves small children and sneezes when she wants attention.... which is typically a signal she is hungry for either food or a hug.

Prior to our adoption, Bamboo underwent back surgery as she was injured while roaming the warehouse district. She has a slight limp but that does not prevent her from running. She recently developed a lump on her front leg that turned out to be cancerous. The first two vets suggested leg amputation, but we found a third vet who thought at her age removal of her soft tissue lump would be best.

Bamboo loves our family and takes turns every night to sleep with a different family member every night. The amount of happiness she generates for our family is unbelievable. She cuddles us, she kisses us, she jumps up and down when we walk in the house and she is super polite.

I lost my job over a year ago and the financial strain has grown with each passing month. We currently do not have the funds to help our baby and that is why I an reaching out to this group. We need help, Bamboo needs help.
