About this campaign

Bamboo is a beautiful little family dog bringing love and joy to her 5 family members. She is a rescue dog who was abandoned in a remote warehouse district. She was taken to a nearby dog shelter where we rescued her as soon as we laid eyes on her.

She developed a lump on her front leg and was determined to be cancerous. The staff at Summit Animal Hospital confirmed Bamboo had cancer and amputation was the recommended next step. The surgery costs anywhere, depending on the vet, from $5,000 to $10,000.

Our family loves Bamboo and Bamboo loves our family. When we took her in she fell in love with our young children immediately and always likes to play with young children. She is a wonderful companion sleeping with every family member, hanging out with us, she loves taking naps and loves to play. Bamboo natural gift is to make anyone who sees her smile.

We currently have only one income in our family and it would be difficult to raise $5,000 to $10,000. We found a teaching veterinary school who could do the surgery for approximately $5,500. Giving Bamboo a second life would mean the world to our family, we lover her dearly!
