Bandit is a 2-year-old Domestic Cat in Adelanto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Femoral Head Ostectomy.

My best friend rescued the tiny kitten from several dogs and brought him to my home. Her husband is allergic, so she couldn’t keep him. The kitty was terrified and immediately hid. We didn’t plan on keeping him, but my daughter and I fell in love with him. He felt safe enough with my daughter to cuddled in her lap. He has spent the past 2 years sleeping in our bed with us keeping my baby safe.

The kitty was initially scared and wouldn’t leave my bookshelf. Eventually he came out and cuddled with my daughter and I. He began playing with our toes and playing fetch as if he were a doggie. We originally thought he was a girl but we found out he’s a boy. We named him Bandit after The Office when Angela threw the kitty in the attic during a fire drill.

When Bandit was a kitten, he would nibble on blankets as if it were a bottle, I occasionally catch him nibbling still. He also follows you and tries to jump around corners to scare you and runs away. Bandit is a bit spoiled and has his own foundation to drink from but choses to drink the water from my bamboo plants. His favorite toy since day 1 is a tiny stuffed mouse with a jingle bell inside.

Kitty came inside my room limping severely and meowing in pain. I picked him and looked at him but couldn’t see any marks. I called the nearby vets who didn’t have appts for a couple months. I was finally able to take him in and found out he needs surgery or he will be in pain the rest of his life. The vet said that if I can’t get the surgery done to put him to sleep so he doesn’t suffer.

The surgery he needs is “Femoral Head Ostectomy.” The surgery costs $3,500. He gave me a discount of 30% and I am looking into programs to help cover some of the cost. I don’t want him in pain and I don’t want to euthanize him, so I am asking for a little help.
