About this campaign
I originally found Bandit in Gardena but he was apparently from Riverside which is a 2 .5 hour drive away. I took him to the shelter so his owners can pick him up but they didn't want him. I didn't want bandit to spend his days in a cage so I rescued my baby boy. I am a college student and take care of him on my own trying to provide a better life. I get paid minimum wage but still spoil him.
He is the most energetic Husky ever, I would take him for long 2 hour walks then go home and he would still want to play. He served as my Emotional Support Animal because this year has been tough. Everyone in my house loves him, they always play with him. He is very friendly and doesn't bark or bite at people, cats, or dogs. He would love it when others played with him and ran along his side.
I am a sophomore low-income college student. I am getting through college with scholarships and some loans. It's extremely difficult for me to pay for his surgery. It would mean the world to see my baby running around and jumping to lick my face once again.
Bandit was hit by a car, we took him to the hospital and he had a fractured bone and possibly a crushed leg. The Hospital is ACCESS Speciality Animal Hospital. I am trying to just get as much support as possible. Some things involve anesthesia, surgery, plates, radiographs, IV Catheter Placement, and Medications. The vet is Sophie Miltz.
His smile is the most meaningful thing in my life. Bandit was stressed out in the cage at the pound and ripped the hairs of his tail. When he was with me his tail was always wagging and it was starting to grow back. He was there when I needed him by licking my face, giving me hugs. He would sit and smile just like in the pictures I displayed. He is an amazing dog, I really want him healthy again.
