About this campaign
Banjo was found roaming the streets of North Carolina back in 2014 and was put up for adoption at the Virginia Beach SPCA. When I went to find a pup to rescue, I spotted Banjo lying down, chilling out. His eyes were so sad in that kennel, but lit up as soon as we took him out. It was an instant connection. Him and I have traveled together across the country, well half way at least.
Banjo has developed a few growths around his body, including on his groin, elbow, and most concerning/bothersome being on his toe. Our vet, Dr. Jones at Banfield, informed us the only solution would be to remove his toe. We have continued to watch these and had pathology done on them, but it has gotten to a point that he is now in pain from the one on his toe.
Banjo has always been such a lovable boy. He is so cued in on emotions and provides comfort to those that need it, even without people outwardly showing distress. He has been there through the toughest of times.
Unfortunately, we’re not in a financial position to be able to get surgery scheduled, despite the vet wanting this to get done urgently. Banjo is not yet to a point where I would consider euthanasia, as he is otherwise in good health. He is an integral part of our family.
