Barbie, was a rescue from the same place we got our other dog Pepper. They instantly became friends and are in-separable. However, Barbie I noticed had bad legs in the rear. She recently injured one. Both rear legs have luxating patella's and need surgery. The injured leg to be done on December 20th 2019. There will be many weeks of rehab and therapy following. The other leg to be corrected about 3 months later. We love this little dog as we have loved all our pets. She is feisty but lovable at the same time. We cannot look at her with two bad rear legs and not feel like crying. We hope for two successful surgeries so, she can live into her older years enjoying life to its fullest.
Barbie, we thought was going to be a medium size dog but, when she arrived at our pick up destination after a 1,200 mile trip she wasn't. However, we instantly felt for her plight and took her home to have a forever place with us and Pepper. This little dog was abused before the rescue organization took her. She is adjusting quite well now but, still needs some work. She has night terrors while sleeping but, they are becoming less and less. We just wish to have her rear legs become normal to enjoy living her life better.
