Barley is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees in Denton, TX, who needs $502 for treatment for heartworms.

We adopted Barley from a rescue group at the end of July. He came to the rescue from a local shelter in May of this year after living outside for most of his life. His fur was so matted that they had to shave his coat, which is finally starting to grow. He lived with a foster mom in the rescue for about two months until we found each other. We immediately fell in love with his sweet and loving personality. His foster mom said she knew he was meant to be with us because as we were leaving with him,, he never looked back. We decided to name him Barley because my husband is a beer brewer and the name just seemed to fit.
