Barry is a 4-month-old Pomeranian in Collinsville, IL, who needs $1,500 for Emergency Surgery for Fracture of Radius and Ulna.

Barry came into my life two months ago, I got him from a breeder in Springfield, IL. I kept the name, Barry because I thought it fit him very well and I love when dogs have human names. He has 3 cat sisters who he loves to antagonize and play with. I take him with me to anywhere that lets him in. He loves anyone and everyone who stops to give him attention, and he smothers them with kisses.

At home Barry was very active and lively. Until his recent accident when he jumped out of my arms, breaking his arm. My neighbor has an American Bulldog who loves to play with Barry between the gate and they run back and forth together. He loves to go on walks, bringing me huge leaves and sticks that are usually bigger than he is. He is smart and learns quick with the tricks I have taught him.

He is spunky and loving, the first time I picked him up I knew he was mine. He is so funny and energetic, he chases his tail, when he goes outside, he plays fetch, and he runs so fast that he does a somersault when he tries to get his toy. He loves to go on car rides, when I start singing a song, he sings along with me, and it makes my heart melt.

Yesterday, he jumped out of my arms, landing on his left arm, breaking it in two places. Upon examination, it was determined that he fractured his radius & ulna bones. He needs emergency surgery. I am distraught over seeing him in so much pain and not his usual happy self. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Im a full-time nursing student at SIUE, working a part time job on a fixed income. The surgery is estimated @ $4200 with about $800 follow-up fees. I applied for care credit and got approved for half of that amount. I have $500 saved to use, but am in desperate need of help.
