My daughter and I adopted Basil last May. We thought Basil was feral until we had a mobile vet come over. She actually has Plasma Cell Stomatitis. As soon as the vet gave her steroids and antibiotics she started letting us pet her for the first time in the 9 + months we’ve had her. The poor thing was in pain this whole time and that’s why she was hiding and seemed feral. We love her please help us

Basil is my daughter Molly’s kitty. Molly patiently waited for Basil to come out of her shell on her own terms. That wasn’t happening because she was in pain and we didn’t know until last week. While she’s been on medication and feeling a little bit better Basil has really come out of her shell. She’s so sweet and loves to be pet now. Without oral surgery she’s going to go back to suffering.

Basil even rubbed up against our dog now that she’s feeling a little bit better. I’m amazed at how friendly she is now. The antibiotics and steroids are going to wear off in about a week. The low income vets in our area are booking out into March. That’s just to get her in for more antibiotics. We can’t even schedule her surgery without a down payment. She’s a sweet girl and needs a pain free life

Our young cat has Plasma Cell Stomatitis. The vet said the inside of her mouth is bleeding. Her teeth are decaying. The vet said it looks like hamburger. I’m told it’s like being allergic to your own teeth. She can’t eat well. She started breathing funny two days ago. Her toung is hanging out of her mouth and she drooling. It’s very scary, my daughter has been unable to sleep or stop crying.

I’m disabled from an accident where I broke many bones. I’m on a fixed low income. My daughter is working part time to try and help pay Basils medical bills but she’s also still a full time high school student.
