Baxter is a 6 year old Basset Artésien Normand in Van Nuys, CA, who needs $5,000 for Hospitalization for Kidney Failure.

We found Baxter online. As I grew up with Bassett hounds, it was really hard to find one that was a Rescue close to me and I resorted to getting one from someone that bred them because they are just a wonderful family dog.

My beloved dog has just been diagnosed with kidney failure.
Right now, the immediate focus is keeping them stable through continuous IV fluids, essential daily medications, and a likely upcoming hospitalization to monitor their organ function. The veterinary bills are mounting rapidly, and I am doing everything I can.

He is just the sweetest dog. He lays next to you and just let you know that he loves so much. We have a child that he adores. We know that Baxter has a heart of gold and we want to keep him around longer than just only six years. It’s just too young.

We have exhausted credit cards on getting Baxter any treatment we can, but it’s come to the point where hospitalization is most likely needed in order to flush his kidneys having continuous IV fluids going through him rather than just one bag per day at home.
