Baxter is a 11 year old Jack Russell Terrier in Virginia Beach, VA, who needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusion, Bone Marrow BX/Aspirates.

I did not know what I was getting into with Jack Russel's, especially two males and half brothers at that! Baxter and his brother (Bartley) are my first dogs as an adult. The first few years were ridiculous and I have many stories, but I am a firm believer in keeping commitments to animals and so even though they drove me crazy, I learned so much and I love them so stinking much.

Baxter is 11 but still had puppy energy until April. He's lost a significant amount of weight (from17lbs down to 13lbs), has had an emergency blood transfusion and recently visited VVC in Richmond (4th vet in 2 months). As I understand it, his body has stopped producing red blood cells but as of right now he is still not diagnosed; he is on medication as the vets try to figure out why.

Baxter is a sour patch dog of sorts (ha!) Sweet to some, sour to others. He looks innocent but is very sneaky and mischievous, and has kept me on my toes for 11 years. I have moved frequently over the past decade and he has escaped at least once at every location (first thing he does!). The most memorable was when he ran straight to a pond in an apartment complex to chase the ducks lol.

I'm struggling and hurting with the thought that this could be the end and I won't even know why. Please help! I have spent + 5k and the next estimate is +6k. Attempts to diagnose him are via process of elimination and still don't have an answer as to why this is happening.
