Bean is a 1 year old Dachshund in Bennington , VT, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Remove Blockage.

We bought Bean in Pennsylvania from an Amish family. They only had 3 in that litter , so we took all 3 sisters home with us. My parents took one of the sisters into their home. The two we kept are Bean and Tater-tot. My husband picked Bean because he thought she looked like a little jellybean when we picked her up. He and Bean have been inseparable since we brought her home.

Unfortunately, Bean got into something. The veterinarian at Upstate Veterinary Specialties doesn't know what it is yet. They said that there is a linear blockage in the bowels that most likely needs to be surgically removed. Right now it is causing major kidney and liver issues for our puppy. They're going to give her fluids tonight and hopefully get the blockage unstuck, but they aren't hopeful.

Bean has such a huge personality for a little puppy. She loves everyone and loves to play. She loves to be a lap dog as well, but mostly with my husband. She and Tater-tot are a huge part of our family and we just can't lose her.

We are on a fixed income right now and obviously this horrible situation is unexpected for us because we have no emergency funds. we were quoted $8,500. We would be absolutely grateful to anyone that could help us with our family puppy. She is just the best puppy to us.
