My dog has been in my life for 11 years. He was giving to me by an ex boyfriend as a surprise after the passing of my mother. When I first got the dog, I took him to the pet store to purchase items, while standing in line at the check out, a lady asked, " what's his name ? I said I'm going to name him baby." And the lady said," no, name him Beans." I thought it was silly, but I named him Beans.

My dog Beans sleeps with me and has been my therapy dog. He goes almost every where with me and if not I sometimes feel guilty. I truly sometimes think that he thinks that he is human and suppose to do everything that I do. He's so smart and understands just about everything I say to him. Going for walks is the best thing in the world, I mostly feel like he's walking me.

Beans is sweet, mild manner, and obedient, but he has a determination side to him too. which is so funny and he knows that I will eventually give in and let him have his way. For example on walks he avoids going in the direction of our home and pulls me a different direction. He beg and steal snacks, and when I leave the house he runs out and refuses to go back in, so ends up going too.

Beans has a large growing lump on his thigh. I noticed it last year, I went to the Vet and learned that it was a condition called Lipona, at first the vet said it would ok as long as it didn't affect his ability to walk. Because of my dogs age I initially was afraid for him to have surgery, but now he's seems alittle down because he likes to be active. Before it gets any bigger it would mean so much to me to have him to have this percedure done and back to normal as possible.
