Bear has been a part of our family since he was 8 weeks old, and is very much loved. He lives with us and our two sons. Bear had pneumonia when he was a puppy and we are not sure why this keeps happening to him . Bear is very much loved and we can't imagine life without him.

Bear is a true German Shephard with all the German Shephard qualities - he is devoted to his family. He is a family member, companion and true protector. Bear makes us smile and laugh everyday with his goofy antics! He is only 1 year and a half and way too young to be going through this. We are a working class family from Boston.

As a German Shephard, Bear is very active, boy who LOVES other dogs, loves to run and play and chase the geese down the river. He is a goofy boy! It breaks our heart to think he was so close to not being able to do this, and how close we were to loosing him. Upon being admitted Bear had a temperature of 106.

Bear recently contracted pneumonia in both his lungs and has been hospitalized for a little over a week in intensive care. He still needs O2 to breath and is in the process of being weaned off of it. We were turned away twice at a well known animal emergency room due to them being filled to capacity. Bea is in great hands right now and we are very thankful for that.

We want Bear to be able to continue to receive the care he is so deserving of and be able to run and play like he used to once he is out of the hospital. Any amount will help us reach that goal and help get Bear covered.
