About this campaign

Bear came into our lives in March 2021. He has a brother Lutha. We initially received Lutha from a friend. When we went to pick Lutha up, Bear was all alone scooting across the floor. I fell in love with him. The lady that gave him to us asked if we wanted him because the person that had planned to take him changed their mind. I begged my husband to let us take both of them and he gave in.

Bear is so lovable and low-key. He never barks, he stands in front of you with his big pretty eyes as if he is wondering if you can see him. He appears to be happy and he never puts up a fight when it's time to transition from eating, playing, or resting. Bear gets along with everyone. He doesn't bark at visitors and all our friends and family love him.

Bear makes me laugh because he is not the typical hyper American Bully. He moves really slow and if he decides to run, it won't be put a few steps, lol. He then stops for a minute, then he will lay down. As big as he is, we then find ourselves picking him up to carry him the rest of the way. Bear has a cute and unique underbite.

Bear is always finding things to eat that shouldn't be eaten. In most cases, we have caught him and discarding whatever he gets into. This time we were not so lucky. He got ahold of a ball and ate it. Now they are saying it needs to be removed surgically. Bear has an appointment with Missions Animal Hospital on 11/5 to remove the object.

It would mean the world to me and my family to have Bear healthy again. It hurts to see him walking around unable to eat, lethargic, and not being able to run and play with his brother.
