About this campaign
Bear is a seven-year-old, two month old lab chow mix who has been rescued and taking care of by us since he was four months old. Bear had a rough few months living with us as he was extremely anxious, but has now grown into a confident, loving boy! Sweet boy, lives with my husband, and I and his little kitty sister, Tilly.
Close to the time of adoption, my husband and I noticed that Bear was “bunny hopping” and decided to of course take him to a vet. He was diagnosed with arthritis, which we attempted to manage, I decided, after no improvement, to get a second opinion from our now amazing vet. After some tests, and of course, x-rays, Bear was diagnosed with bilateral cruciate tears (the right leg being the worst).
Bear is the biggest, goofiest baby anyone has ever had the pleasure of meeting! Sweet boy has been with us since he was four months old, and has been the light of my husband and I’s life for now seven years. We adopted sweet boy from a rescue, and after many months of working with him, as he had severe anxiety from past trauma, he is now the most loving angel you will ever meet!
As Bear’s condition is getting dramatically worse, and no amount of pain management is helping any longer so the small amount that we’ve attempted to save isn’t going to handle the full amount of his surgery for even one leg.
