Bear is a 5-year-old Golden Lab in Charlotte Hall, MD, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery for ACL Tear.

Bear is one of my best friends. I picked him out among all of the other dogs and brought him home in August 2018, along with his litter crate brother, Turk.

Bear and his brother, Turk formed a unbreakable bond, and so did we. Bear loves to swim, go for walks, play with his friends, cuddle, and tussle with his brother. One thing he absolutely LOVES to do is chase a laser light, so every night without fail, he stares me down as soon as it is dark to remind me he is waiting for me to play laser with him. He’s addicted to it and demands my attention.

Bear is one of the most stubborn dogs I've ever met. If he doesn't want to do it, he will not move. He weighs 95 pounds - it's hard for him to comply. We take at least one long walk a day and sometimes two. Sometimes, Bear gets to play with his friends. And sometimes he gets to swim. He loves peanut butter filled Kongs and anything food. He has a heart of gold and if you know him, you love him.

Bear tore his ACL and needs TPLO surgery - the repair will fix his leg forever and the vet says he's a great candidate. He had the same surgery 2 years ago for his other leg. He saw his surgeon 1/8/24 and once we have raised enough money for his surgery, we will schedule the surgery. He is 5 years old with a life expectancy of 12 years. This surgery would provide him with quality of life!!!

I am a single pet owner and cannot afford the full cost of the surgery. The cost of surgery per the quote from the surgeon yesterday is $4,800 which covers everything including his recovery therapy. It would mean everything to me if you could help in any way.
