Bear is a 2-year-old Border Collie in Hutchinson, KS, who needs $2,000 for Intestinal Surgery.

I came across Bear from Heartstrings animal advocates. You see, Bear hasn't only been saved this time, but he has been saved twice before. He came from Amarillo, Texas as his first owners had dumped him. He spent a few months in a shelter there and the day he was suppose to be put down, he got picked up and brought to Kansas. I found him and gave him a safe home. It's been a perfect match since!

Bear has been my everything since day one. He has a couple doggie siblings who absolutely adore him. Hes always down to snuggle or play. He is a mommas boy. We have to snuggle every night and hes is there when I'm sad to cheer me up. He loves to play with my boyfriends daughter in the yard chasing and pouncing on her.

I have put forth more then I can truly afford, but I am not ready to give up on Bear. Hes is more then I could ask for. I am reaching my limit on what I can give and needing help!

Bear only has one downfall. Bear tends to eat things he shouldn't. For some reason Bear loves to eat mulch and sticks. This go around he had a blockage of sticks,grass,and hair. The hair and sticks caused lacerations to his intestine. He is at Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital being treated by Dr. Smith.

I consider Bear my emotional support. He provides me the attention I need to help reduce anxiety and depression. He always manages to be dorky to but a smile on your face, weather its blowing bubbles in the pool, climbing on your shoulders, or just sitting next to you watching tv. When we go to the dog park hes the dog that all the dogs want to play with. He has such an amazing personality.
