Bear is a 6-year-old Lab Husky Mix in Kissimmee, FL, who needs $1,960 for Heartworm 6 Month Treatment.

This is Bear! We adopted her from a husky rescue near the end of last summer. She used to live in a home with over 30 other dogs. Right now, she enjoys being an only dog and getting constant love and attention.

She sleeps everywhere and anywhere all the time. She loves the first toy she got from when she first got here, her Poptart! She is very sweet and loves everyone who comes into our house, always asking for belly rubs!

Bear recently realized that being part husky means she can sound like one. She loves being dramatic and she can be jealous. So when you give someone else a hug, expect that Bear will join in on the fun too!

We recently learned, however, that her zoomies and running around will have to wait for a little while. She has heartworm and is currently in the first phase of her treatment. She just started a round of medication but the rest will run us roughly $2000 to complete all treatment.

This event is very unexpected as she was finishing heartworm treatment when we got her. The expense is pretty hefty and we don’t have an emergency fund for this. Please help Bear get back to normal by the end of this August. Thank you for your help!
