Bear is a 13-year-old Springer Spaniel Lab Mix in Lake Forest, CA, who needs $2,000 for Growth Removal.

We picked “Bear” from a friend that had about 5 or 6 puppies, he was a birthday gift since my Ex-wife really didn’t want a dog, much less a male dog. He was less than 2 months old, but a puggy little puppy with personality, so here I am with my “frosted aged puppy” 13 years later, he’s got a little grey and so did I.

We get Bear as a puppy in a town called Big Bear Lake, CA, and if you push his face from side to side, he looks like a little bear, thus the name. Bear loves kids, and people in general, but every now and then he finds someone he simply does not care for and makes a point of it. He sat with my my while she was going thru dementia & hospice at our house, she always remembered Bear’s name.

Ever since he was a puppy he has always greeted me with his nose in my face, eyes sparkling, and wagging his tail in the morning simply to say…, hey, today’s a new day, new things to explores, and start your morning off right with a smile on your face, hard to argue with my dog with his big eyes and smiling mug!

We noticed a growth on Bear’s behind area about 8 months ago, had a cancer biopsy done on him, no cancer but growth has to be removed. The vet said should be around $1,100 - $1,300 to get it done, but that where things went south for Bear and myself.

My Ex-Wife didn’t want to spend the money on Bear, & wanted to “Put Him Down”, which I disagreed with, to make matters worse, we split up, I kept Bear, but now I have to go in for a surgery & need to board Bear while I am in there for about 1 month, Don’t let me loose Bear!
