Bear is a 11-year-old Standard Poodle in South Pasadena, CA, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Bear was a rescue. My sister and I picked him up in a large shopping mall parking lot. As we drove towards towards him the hatch back of the small car popped open and a huge white poodle emerged! I commented, he looks like a giant polar bear and thus he became Bear! Bear is a love bug and lives in sunny California. He is very sociable and must always be in the hub of action. I love this about him!

Bear lives in a comfortable apartment with me. His favorite toy is lamb chop and he carries it to bed or when he goes out. He may be 11 yrs old but he believes he is still 2 yrs old! He is a great dog and once he realizes you're a friend he'll become your shadow! He is a talented photo-bomber at family events! I love taking him everywhere with me because he loves to say hello & spread smiles.

Bear is Mr. Sociable. His groomer, his vet, family & friends all have commented on how love-able he is. He does what I call Poodle purrs when he is happy. A cross between a grunt & a soft purr. And not because he is my baby but he is honestly a very special boy! There is something about Bear I can't put into words. You have to meet him to understand and see it. He glows with personality!

Bear has torn ligaments in his right knee. It requires surgery to repair. A certified orthopedic surgeon is needed and then 2 months of intense R&R, follow up visits and x-rays as well as a new very large crate. No bed as he could injure himself. Physical therapy, medications and close monitoring while healing. This is not a chronic condition.

Lost my job during the pandemic. I was going back to work & I had an accident. I injured my knee & I'm now waiting for surgery. Bear's injury is unexpected. He didn't have an accident, one day he just began limping. The surgery is very expensive & any help is appreciated.
