Beatrix Bellavue is a 9-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Grand Rapids, MI, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan/MRI - Sedated.

In February a fellow cat-lady called me about two kittens in a condemned house. I hadn't planned on fostering but once I saw them I couldn't leave them behind. Beatrix (Bb) and her sister Pharrah were vetted and spayed before being adopted TOGETHER after 41 days. I have a return policy for all of my fosters and Bb was returned with a serious injury. She is now safely back in my care indefinitely.

Before her accident Beatrix had made friends with the other 5 cats in my home. Her and the youngest of them would fly around the house at hyper speed! Bb quickly became my new cuddle bug and loved to climb into my lap to snuggle even when I was just kneeling for a moment! She loved to snuggle up with either of my children, her big uncle Mauser, or fluffy aunt Sable.

B got her name because she had the most unamused 'resting b face' that made her look so serious like she is judging you . She has a nose that looks like a heart and loves getting face scratchies. When you scratch under her chin you can see her sweet baby smile and her adorable teeny front teeth. Her favorite toys are the little mice and will carry, toss, and bat one around like a proud lioness.

Beatrix has an unsteady gait in her back legs, pain with handling/touching, and is unable to play, scratch an itch, or even groom herself. She has been diagnosed with a slipped disc/pinched nerve. She will need a sedated CT or MRI which will run around 2k and does not include the surgery needed to repair it. Animal Emergency Hospital of Byron Center will perform the specialty scan.

As most of you know I am a single parent to two and while I have a steady job there is not enough financial wiggle room to shoulder this much of a financial emergency. It breaks my heart to see her hurting and how lonely Beatrix is having to be isolated.
