I’m got Beau at 10 weeks old. We were stable for a long time. We were displaced by hurricane Irma, direct hit, we came back from the shelter to a destroyed home. We finally became stable for a while until now. We have a place to live, but that’s it. Beau has a hard time with his ears and it’s gotten worse. I’ve tried everything, but now I haven’t work due to an illness. He is currently not well.

Beau contracted a staph infection from a groom in 2023. He has always had very bad ears that need constant treatment. He also needs medicated baths, which I do now, but his ears are a very sensitive issue and he needs to have deep cleaning every few months from a vet. Right now it’s so bad that when he scratched his ears he wines from the pain and shakes his head constantly. His ears stink badly.

I’ve never had an animal that gave so much love. It’s rare and we can’t live without each other. Attached at the hip. He is very sweet and funny and for such a large dog he thinks he is a lap dog. So cute. He loves everyone, mostly. He knows when someone has bad intentions. He loves cats and loves to play with other dogs. People love him and call him a polar bear. Beautiful, sweet and gentle.

I lost my job last July as I have a disability, which became worse last year due to mold and sewage in the apartment we were in. I’ve lost everything to get out and I lost my car as well. Right now I only get 1420 a month and are just barely surviving. I am looking for work.
