Beckett was neglected and abused - will you please help him heal?

Meet a French Bulldog named Beckett, who was sadly abandoned at a local PetSmart during a grooming appointment. Leaving Beckett in heartbreaking condition, his owners informed the staff they wouldn’t be returning to pick him up. Thankfully, The French Bulldog Rescue Network was contacted immediately, and fast-acting volunteers picked him up.

However, Beckett’s health conditions were quite urgent. He was visibly anemic, dangerously underweight, unable to stand, and suffering from severe medical issues, including bloody urine and fecal incontinence. He was quickly placed under the care of an emergency veterinarian, who was able to stabilize him. He is currently eating and drinking well and showing that he’s in good spirits!

His sodium levels are nearly back to normal, and while his white blood cell count is still elevated, they’ve added another IV antibiotic to help him fight off infection.

We are waiting for the results of his fecal and urine cultures, as well as some additional tests, before moving forward with additional treatment. For now, Beckett is stable, comfortable, and surrounded by love.

It’s heartbreaking to think about the level of neglect that brought him to this point.
