About this campaign

Ever since Beignet was discovered wobbling along the street and falling over, his sweet eyes, spunky spirit, and adorable nature have captured people's hearts.

And we hope we can count you among his supporters!

Good Samaritans initially saw Beignet struggling and contacted Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue. Their volunteers got Beignet to an animal hospital.

He had an MRI and a spinal tap, which revealed he had severe obstructive hydrocephalus; fluid was collecting on his brain. The pressure from the fluid is why Beignet struggled to walk.

Beignet's medical team started him on medications to treat his symptoms, which initially helped, but then he went downhill.

He now needs surgery to place a VP (ventriculoperitoneal) shunt in his brain to relieve the pressure. The rescue group needs your continued support for Beignet's surgery.

"From an unwanted stray with no one to love him to a Proverbs boy who received the very best medical care, Beignet is one blessed boy," Savannah S., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle. "Please help us get this sweet boy the surgery he needs to survive."
