Bella is a 8-year-old Chihuahua in Albuquerque, NM, who needs $2,000 for Bilateral Inguinal Hernia Repair with Specialist.

My aunt got 2 tiny puppies, a tan one and a white one with black spots. I went over there and fell in love with the spotted one. At that time I was going through a difficult time so my aunt told me I could take her, I got so excited. I named her Bella, after my favorite movie "Twilight". She"s almost 9 and she IS my best friend and makes bad days doable I and don't know what I'd do without her.

Bella sleeps wherever I sleep, and loves to go for long walks. She has her favorite toy (the squeaker part inside) and she loves to hide it from me under my bed so I can't find it. She can be a bit shy at first around new people. My aunt has her two sisters, so she goes over there a lot to play. She's always been the only dog around me so she is very protective of me, especially when I'm asleep. ❤

She's little but her personality is HUGE and she makes me laugh every single day. When I don't feel good, she doesn't leave my side and when she wants a snack she barks, hops and kicks her back feet,, it's so adorable. 💕 When she goes to my aunt's, she acts like SHE IS THE BOSS over everyone, even my aunt. When she sleeps, she has to be under a blanket and she snores, LOUD.

Bella has Bilateral Inguinal Hernias. Her vets name is Dr. Thorud at the VCA Westside Hospital. The Dr says the only way to treat the herias, is with surgery because her bladder and intestines have slipped down through a tear in her pelvis (hernias) and is pretty painful for her. It's hard for her to lay down comfortably and it hurts her to jump up and down from the couch.

I work but Im still considered very low income and my car just died on me so it's hard to get to and from work, but my aunt takes me sometimes. Bella is my best friend and it makes me sad cuz she has so much spunk in her but she's hurting so much that all she does is sleep.
