Bella is a 10-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Avon, OH, who needs $1,000 for Mitaban, Medicated Shampoo.

Bella was discovered by a humane officer living in a basement. Her owners only came a few times a week to refill her automatic food and water feeder. Bella didn't get to go outside to go to the bathroom and the basement was covered in urine and feces. The humane officer cared for her until she could be transferred to our local vet.

We're not sure how long this sweet girl was locked in the basement by herself. Despite her horrible situation, Bella is as sweet as can be. Bella will spend her recovery with a foster and then will be available for adoption. We hope she lives out her remaining years in a loving, caring home that will shower her with love.

We do not know much about Bella at this point. She's a senior dog who has lived a terrible life. The humane officer who rescued her said she's very sweet. She has been diagnosed with demodex mange and Secondary skin and ear infections, and arthritis in her hips. They sent out a thyroid test. Bella is getting medications and treatments and will go to a foster home tomorrow.
