We decided to rescue Venus from the shelter the summer of 2020. I had just loss my companion. I didn’t know if I could have another! Immediately when we seen her mug shot on the internet we knew she was the one! Upon arrival from dog jail her name was changed to Bella! She gets full run of the inside house and a full fenced in outside! With lots of love and attention!!

Within weeks Bella’s loyalty was put to work! She was a working by a burglar breaking into my sons room through the window!! My son was woken up by her growling towards the window! She soon started barking! My son awoke to a man half in and half out of the window! Our little dog began to growl louder and approached the burglar! He slowly exited the window and ran off!

She is a big part of the family! She protects the kids when outside playing! She protects us while we sleeping! She gives comfort to each one of us when sad mad or feeling down! Bella gives our family emotional stability! Has taught my son responsibilities and respect for family animals! She loves to run and chase the squirrels and chipmunks along the fence, this makes us laugh so much!

Well last night I made a horrible mistake, I allowed Bella to get hold of a pork shoulder bone. She ate a flap of the bone and seemed alright for the nite! That wasn’t the case, woke up to four piles of bone puke! She was sad and very restless, I thought this was because of puking all night. She started having little bit of blood come out of poop, then started vomiting blood! Rushed to the vet!!

I have just started a new job after being let go 2 months ago! I mean she saved my family life, it would be the same as taking one of my kids away from me!! We love her so much! It’s very lonely in the house right now without her barking or constant attention getting! I miss her.
