Bella was found by our neighbor after hearing whining in the woods. She took her in, and that same day, I saw this tiny pup with giant paws. My partner fell in love. We cared for her while searching for her owner. A week later, someone claimed her—but she had escaped from a breeder and was going to be given away. They asked for money, and we couldn’t say no. She was already part of our family.

During winter, Bella began lifting her paw outside, so I thought it was just the cold. By February, she was limping badly and couldn’t put her leg down, though she showed no signs of pain when touched. After two weeks with no improvement, I took her to Animal Mission Hospital—they said she needs TPLO surgery. They also said it wasn’t an accident; it’s genetic.

Bella has won many hearts—she’s more human than dog! She loves hiking, swimming, and running. She’s super smart and very expressive, especially about showers (not a fan) but loves to swim! She adores pup-cups, treats, and cuddles, yet can be independent too. Whether sleeping alone or snuggling under my blanket, she’s simply amazing. She loves attention and will beg for it.

Bella’s surgery is more than I can afford, and it’s heartbreaking to see her in pain. She deserves to run, play, and enjoy life like she used to. Getting her healthy again would mean the world to me. Any support would be a huge help and deeply appreciated.
