Bella is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in Edmonton, AB, who needs $2,000 for Dental, Root Canal or Tooth Extraction.

Bella was given to me as a birthday gift when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I am now a student trying to finish up my Master's degree, so Bella's kind of been with me through a lot. It's just me and her in a little downtown apartment right now! She's my best friend and I adore her very much.

Bella has a fractured canine tooth. Recently, we went to the vet and, because the pulp cavity was exposed on her canine, they recommended that she either get a root canal or tooth extraction. Both options were really expensive. Between $3700 and $4800 (estimate from Pulse Veterinary Specialist & Emergency) (procedure includes cleaning of a stinky molar).

She's got lots of funny things going on with her appearance. On just one side of her face, the whiskers above her eye are really curly. She had to get her belly shaved a few years ago to get a (benign) lump removed and her fur never grew back so now she just has a naked belly. And, of course, that little fractured canine of hers. Also, she drools when you pull out treats in front of her. Gross.

I'm currently a student living on my own and Bella's helped me through a lot. I've had to put off dealing with this canine for a while now because of the cost, but I want to make sure I take care of her as much as she's taken care of me.
