Bella is a 3-year-old Yorkie in Fairfield , CA, who needs $1,655 for FHO.

On December 20, 2020, Bella’s previous owners could no longer care for her so we decided to take her in. When we got her she was a bit timid but she warmed up and grew accustomed to her new home and became an energetic ball of fun. We were concerned on how she’d react to joining a family with another dog but it wasn’t long until she fell to love her new brother Hachi ( golden retriever).

Bella’s favorite activity is playing catch. She’ll fetch anything from chewy balls to sticks. She enjoys sleeping in bed with us because the feeling of another body near her brings comfort. Bella also enjoys coming along for car rides. She yearns for attention and luckily we have the time and the patience to give it to her.

Because of the pandemic, our finances as a whole have been strained. I became a stay at home mother so that I can tend to my son and his distance learning. That alone has made monthly income decrease substantially . Bella’s accident was something we wouldn’t have expected.

Unfortunately Bella made the decision to jump from a 2 story bedroom window. She landed in our front lawn and dislocated her hip. When we took her in for X-rays the vet informed us that she had hip dysplasia and that she needed immediate surgery that involved wire placement to keep her hip in place.

Bella is a dog filled with sass. She is a true diva. Sometimes she can give the attitude of a young teenage girl but on the other hand she can be so loving and cuddly. Bella is a small dog with big dog energy. We find it cute how she can be so protective yet so little no matter what comes her way.
