Bella is a 6 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Hampstead, NC, who needs $1,500 for Luxating Patella-Torn CCL in Right Rear Leg.

My little Bella girl is something very special to me & her 1/2 brother Buddy. Buddy came first (Yorkie/ShihTzu mix) and then when Bella (full Yorkie) was born and I found out they had the same Dad I just had to add her to our little family. They are just 6 months apart & couldn't be more different. Bella is sweet & quiet and Buddy is a wide open little boy. Love those kids with all my heart!

In February Bella was diagnosed w/Luxating Patella in her left rear leg. Unfortunately the only solution was surgery @ a cost of just over $2K. Recoup was about 12 weeks but she never fully recovered so we went back to Swansboro Animal Hospital and found out her other leg had a torn CCL and a milder case of Luxating Patella. So another surgery is scheduled at roughly the same cost of $2K.

Bella has a very sweet personality but can be a spunky little girl too. She always displayed a lot of independence but since her first surgery she has become much more attached to me. That's obviously due to the fact that she had to depend on me for so much. Post op she really couldn't walk at all for over a month and then very limited for another 4-5 weeks after that. And here we go again...

Back to back surgeries would probably put a strain on most pet owners as it has for me. Bella must have this 2nd surgery if she is going to enjoy full mobility. At only 6 years old she is expected to fully recover so I have to do everything I can to make that happen!
