About this campaign
Bella came into our lives at two weeks old when we volunteered to rescue her mother and 6 siblings. We immediately fell in love with all of them but Bella touched our hearts in a very special way. She has been with us 11 years and has genuinely meant more to the family than we could have ever expected. Bella has 2 siblings/playmates (Remi & Mabel) that always keep her active and full of energy.
Bella lives in a rural area with plenty of room to walk, explore, and take in all the smells. She enjoys nothing more than long walks around the lake where she loves to talk to the geese. In addition, she also has a large fenced in backyard where she and her sisters play daily. Bella is an inside dog with several dog beds and even human beds for her to sleep/rest on and cuddle with her people.
Hoping to get help with Bella's med fees as I've used a good portion of savings on her prior surgeries/treatments. I've been a single Mom for 10 years now, currently out of work and repaying son's college tuition. Bella is so full of love & energy- just want this cancer gone
Bella was diagnosed with a low grade soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in January of 2020. She has had 2 surgeries with incomplete excisions. The tumor has grown back locally again and the treatment plan this time includes 3-4 weeks of radiation therapy. Radiation therapy for STS's have proven to be highly successful with a 90% success rate. Dr. Bortell (309)662-3633 / U of I Animal Hospital (217)333-5300
Bella has no trouble making friends and her best friend is the chocolate lab next door named Coco. She is absolutely adorable with her head tilts when asked if she wants to go on a walk with Coco. It single handedly makes her day every time! Her favorite toys/treats are her wish bone chew toys and homemade peanut butter treats. Bella's most special trait is her kindness for everyone around her.
