Bella is a 12-year-old Border Collie Shepherd in Plantation, FL, who needs $1,083 for Biopsy and Xrays.

Bella came into our lives 12 years ago. She was in the city shelter along with her momma and 5 other litter mates. She had the saddest face and her eyes begged for rescuing, and so we did. We took her home and she has been a well-loved member of our family ever since. She is a very quiet and gentle soul. She only barks to alert us that someone is at the door, other wise she loves to nap.

Bella sleeps in our room. She doesn't like to feel crowded, she is 70 pounds and so she has the comfiest orthopedic bed at the foot of our bed. Around 1 AM she comes around to my side of the bed and begs to come up. She's a gentle giant and we absolutely love her . Of course she takes up the entire bed and so, I am relocated to the living room couch.

Bella loves yogurt icecream! After her dinner she will do a spin and a bark and go to the refrigerator and look up. She knows what she likes. It has been her after dinner treat since she was a puppy. She is a very sweet and protective girl. She loves to be petted. If you stop, she'll pat your hand to encourage you to continue.

Bella has a tumor in her right leg. It's suspicious but we are not 100 percent sure it is cancer unless it is biopsied. She will need xrays to be sure it has not metastasized. Her Vet is Dr. Frione at Lakeside Animal Hospital.

We've experienced many medical crisis with Bella as well as within. The costs have been astronomical and working at a non for profit has me stretched to a breaking point. Coupled with the high cost of living we are finding it more and more difficult each day.
