Bella is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Port Richey, FL, who needs $1,950 for Right Hind Leg Amputation.

Bella was rescued from a dumpster by an acquaintance, I then took her in back in 2020. She was very skittish, assuming she'd been dumped by her prior owner. Since she's become part of the family, spending most days laying on my 14 yo's back while he plays games. She's curious, fun, and very caring. She'll come cuddle with you if you're upset, refusing to leave until you feel better. She's amazing.

A lump was on her right leg when she received a hair trimming for the hot summer days. We monitored it, and it continued to grow. We took her to a vet who said it wasn't cancer and there wasn't a rush. It kept growing so we took her to Animal Care Center of Pasco County and they ran tests. She has FIV, low protein levels, and could require blood transfusions during amputation to remove the tumor

She's amazing. She's curious, sweet, but can get a bit of an attitude. She enjoys laying around in the sun, spending time laying on our 14 year old, and chasing around NERF darts. She's very chatty and will hold a conversation. She is sweet to strangers, but struggles with anxiety from the original owner that dumped her in an apartment complex with her kittens.

Unfortunately the uncertainty of the surgery has made this tough. We'd be using nearly all of our money with no extra incase of the surgery costing more due to complications, or any additional treatment needed. If she needs something else done, we won't be able to.
